About the Role

Do you want to be part of our strong consulting team that works with environmental assessment and environmental impact assessment (EIA)? We are looking for someone with a broad interest in environmental issues and a desire to lead work in environmental assessment and EIA, as well as specialist investigations such as cultural heritage programs or species protection studies. You do not shy away from new challenges and thrive in a workplace where good community prevails and the environment permeates all assignments. We are currently looking for someone with experience or education that matches work focused on water environments, natural environment issues, species protection issues, natural value inventories, cultural heritage inventories, cultural heritage programs, or operational permits.

Your New Position

You will be part of Ramboll's global initiative on environmental assessment and EIA and contribute to sustainable societal development. You will help our clients with projects in various investigation phases from planning in early strategic investigations, permit assessments, and support during design and implementation. Your base will be at our office in Uppsala, and it is possible to vary your day by partially working from home. If another location is desired, this may be possible in Luleå, Malmö, Stockholm, or Gothenburg.

As our new consultant, you will participate in environmental assessments in our projects, where you, together with a project team, will design and deliver sustainable solutions to our clients in Sweden and globally. You will be part of Impact Assessment, Biodiversity & Ecosystems Uppsala with 11 employees who all work towards the goal of creating sustainable solutions for the future. The team consists of colleagues with different backgrounds and experiences who all contribute to an inclusive work environment.

We work on projects of varying sizes and complexities. Our clients are Swedish and global and include both private and public sectors. Our units and teams collaborate closely within Sweden, and we also have close cooperation with many other units and disciplines within Ramboll. As Ramboll is a large global company, there are also good opportunities to work with colleagues and clients internationally on various types of projects.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Participate in the work of developing environmental assessments and EIAs for various projects
  • Be part of a working group focused on achieving goals, keeping timelines, budgets, and results
  • Communicate about environmental issues in projects and seek solutions
  • Contribute knowledge based on your education
  • Develop towards eventually leading your own assignments

About You

To thrive in the role of consultant and contribute to our work, we want you to have:

-A master's degree in the environmental field as an environmental scientist, environmental inspector, biologist, civil engineer, cultural heritage specialist, building conservator, or other equivalent education

-Drive and commitment to work with sustainable societal development

-Understanding and willingness for business acumen and building trustworthy relationships with clients

-Good communication skills and can express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English
